My name is Maddy Keuten and I am a senior education major at Loyola University Chicago. For my Social Justice and Injustice class at Loyola, I did a research project on the academic and personal supports for refugee students who are in Chicago Public Schools (CPS). I decided to do this project because I am currently student teaching in a Chicago Public School that has received many refugees in this 2023-2024 school year, especially refugee students from Venezuela and other South American countries. I created this website for these students, their families, and any other families who are entering Chicago Public Schools and seeking support for themselves and their students.
